Summary

This bill requires the State Fair to comply with the Albuquerque Noise Control Ordinance.

On February 24th the Senate Public Affairs Committee amended SB 298 to provide that, “Except during the New Mexico State Fair, the State Fair Commission shall prepare, adopt, publish and enforce all necessary rules for the New Mexico State Fair to comply with the Albuquerque noise control

ordinance.”

A possible concern with the bill as amended might be that it has no effect on noise pollution associated with the State Fair.
