Interim Committees
After each legislative session, legislators can study a particular issue — or groups of issues — by participating in interim committees. Interim committee membership is appointed by leadership of the House or Senate. Interim committee meetings are open to the public. Upcoming meetings (if any) will be listed as upcoming events on the homepage of ProtectNewMexico.org.
Here is a list of the interim committees that most commonly discuss conservation-related issues:
- Courts, Corrections & Justice Committee
- Economic & Rural Development Committee
- Indian Affairs Committee
- Land Grant Committee
