Subscribing for email updates
Did you know that you can receive email updates about the issues you care about? All you have to do is subscribe by entering your email in the “Get updates by email” field on the homepage!
To subscribe, just enter your email into the field, and click the “Subscribe” button. You will then receive a confirmation email sent to your inbox. Click the link provided in the email to confirm your subscription. To unsubscribe at any time, just click the “unsubscribe” link in any digest email, or enter your email address into the field and click the “Unsubscribe” button. The subscription box looks like this:
Once you have subscribed, you can also set your email subscription to receive a periodic summary of updates, called a “daily digest.” This way, you will receive one email update a day instead of multiple. To enable the digest option, click “Profile” under the “Get updates by email” field (note: this field automatically changes once you enter your email address into the subscription field). The “Profile” button looks like this:
Clicking the “Profile” button will bring you to a new page that reads “Notification Settings”. To activate your digest feature, click “yes” next to the “Receive periodic summaries of new posts?” heading, then click “Update Preferences.” To turn the digest feature off, click “no”, then click “Update Preferences.”
You can also edit your profile information by clicking the “profile” icon on the “Notification Settings” page. The icon is located on the left side of the page, on the settings menu. Your profile page looks like this:
