Summary

This bill appears to make a technical language change to current law regarding the 40-year water use planning period that is allowed for municipalities, counties, school districts, state universities, member-owned community water systems, special water users’ associations and public utilities. Currently the law applies to those entities listed above that “supply water to municipalities or counties.” The bill adds the words “customers within” before “municipalities and counties” so that the statue would apply to those entities listed above that supply “water to customers within municipalities or counties.”
