Summary

This measure amends a section of the Gross Receipts and Compensating Tax Act to expand the eligibility for the “advanced energy deduction” by changing the definitions of  “solar photovoltaic electric generating facility” and “solar thermal electric generating facility.” In both cases the bill removes the requirement that the facility have a “name-plate capacity” of at least one megawatt.

This bill is for the Interim Science, Technology and Telecommunications Committee.

Outcome: HB 128 passed the House (64-0) but died in the Senate Finance Committee.
