Summary

The Senate Corporations and Transportation Committee Substitute for SB 678 (a dummy bill) creates the Road Maintenance and Public Transit Fund. The fund will be administered by the Department of

Transportation and will be distributed:

• ninety-five percent for maintenance of state transportation infrastructure projects; and
• five percent for the operation of public transit systems operated by county and municipal governments and regional transportation districts.
