Summary

This bill provides a gross receipts tax deduction for the retail sale of outdoor water-conservation products between March 1 and March 8.

On February 16th the House Agriculture, Water & Wildlife Committee amended HB 301 to provide that the outdoor water-conservation products for which the bill provides a gross receipts tax deduction are not limited to products used in “urban” properties.

A possible benefit of this bill might be an added incentive for private property owners to reduce their outdoor water consumption through the use of products designed to decrease water waste.
