Summary
This bill authorizes the State Game Commission to adopt rules to recruit, train and accept the services of volunteers for education and outreach activities, hunter and angler services and wildlife conservation activities administered by the Department of Game and Fish, provided that a volunteer:
(a) must comply with all policies and procedures of the department; and
(b) will not be deemed to be a state employee or subject to state employment law.
A possible benefit of this bill might be increased volunteerism, enhancing the ability of the Department of Game and Fish to fulfill its public mission.
