Summary

This measure amends the Petroleum Products Standards Act to remove the requirement that all diesel fuel sold for use in motor vehicles in New Mexico contain 5% biodiesel.

One concern regarding this bill might be that the use of biodiesel, a renewable energy source, may decrease in the State. Another might be that removing the requirement would be a step away from advances made for renewable energy use in New Mexico and that may make other steps in that direction more likely to follow.
