Summary

This bill, for the Land Grant Committee, takes from the Local Government Division of the Department of Finance and Administration any responsibility for approving a comprehensive zoning plan for a land grant-merced, or for arbitrating zoning conflicts between land grants-mercedes and neighboring municipalities and counties. And, it places sole responsibility for approval of a comprehensive zoning plan in the hands of the board of trustees of the land grant-merced.

A possible benefit of this bill might be greater control over zoning issues by a land grant-merced’s board and greater local autonomy.
