Summary

This piece of legislation allows municipalities and counties to ban “aerial devices” rather than “missile-type rockets, helicopters, aerial spinners, stick-type rockets” aerial devices in cases of extreme or severe drought conditions, thus widening the scope of fireworks that might be banned.

One benefit of this bill might be that it will give municipalities and counties a better ability to manage wildlife danger.

Outcome: HB 464 died in the House Judiciary Committee.
